Center for International Science and Technology Cooperation
C Center for International Science and Technology Cooperation was established in 2017 by merging Deputy for International Affairs and Technology Exchange of Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and International Affairs Office of National Elite Foundation. After serving “comprehensive document of I.R. of Iran’s international scientific relations” to Vise Presidency for Science and Technology by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in 2017, this center was appointed to implement it. Accordingly, organizational structure of this center was revised and the three following specialized deputies were formed: Deputy for Technological Cooperation Development, using the capacity of the overseas and international institutions and companies for technology exchange and development; Deputy for Knowledge-based Business Development, using the capacity of the overseas and international markets and support to facilitate participation of domestic technology and knowledge-based companies in those markets and Deputy for Scientific Relations and Human Capital Development, using the capacity of overseas scholars particularly Iranian scientists abroad and elite circulation.
Deputy for Technological Cooperation Development
T The main mission of this deputy is to develop international relations in science and technology field aim at facilitating science and technology transfer to the country. Likewise, further development of bi-lateral and multi-lateral technological cooperation, make use of current opportunities and capacities of international organizations, institutions and treaties targeting technology diplomacy development and initiating joint cooperation programs with developed countries in order to gain science and technology are among this deputy’s goals in realizing its development oriented approach.
Deputy for Knowledge-based Business Development
T This deputy aimed to support knowledge based, innovative and creative companies in order to enhance their market development and export capabilities through providing them with supportive services under the platform of technology exchange and export development corridor.
Deputy for Scientific Relations and Human Capital Development
M Main activities of this deputy include implementation of the cooperation program with Iranian experts and entrepreneurs abroad based on the feedback received from applicants and specialized databases, using the capacity and capabilities of Iranian experts and entrepreneurs abroad to obviate the needs of selected export companies as well as outsourcing foreign projects to domestic developers, using the capacity of Iranian owners of high-tech companies abroad as business partners for domestic companies in target markets, supporting foreign experts and entrepreneurs in Iran, holding workshops and training courses besides entrepreneurial events aiming at formation of joint multinational start-ups and introducing the entrepreneurship Ecosystem of Iran to the foreign investors.
